Suffolk, Va. – Vallerie Maria Esannason,33, and Bernard Olonzo Esannason,30, have been arrested after Suffolk Police say they assaulted and abused a 4-year-old child in December 2013.
Police say they are the father and stepmother of the child.
They say the alleged abuse caused significant permanent damage to the boy. Both were arrested and charged with cruelty and injuries to children and aggravated malicious wounding.
They are currently being held without bond.
