Newport News, Va. – Police are investigating reports of a suspicious package at an FBI field office on Canon Blvd. in Newport News.

The package ended up being a toolbox but there were some wires sticking out of it which caused some commotion today. Roads all around City Center in Newport News were blocked off.

The suspicious toolbox was found on the sidewalk outside the Siemens building. The building is also home to an FBI field office.

According to Police, a worker simply forgot the toolbox which prompted the bomb squad to use a robot to inspect the toolbox and determined it did not pose a threat.
