Virginia Beach, Va. (WTKR) - NewsChannel 3 is honoring a Virginia Beach veteran with our People Taking Action Award after he took action to help the Horton Wreath Society.
In October, NewsChannel 3 took action and donated $1,000 to the Horton Wreath Society to help them honor our departed veterans this December.

After seeing our story, retired Marine Donald Ross knew he had to take action to help as well. He donated $5,000 to Horton Wreath Society which helped ensure every veteran buried at the Albert G. Horton Memorial Veterans Cemetery will get a wreath on their grave this December.
That action earned Donald Ross Jr. our NewsChannel 3 People Taking Action Award on Veterans Day.
