California defends child obesity letters as way to improve students’ health

(CBS Sacramento) – Some parents are calling them “fat letters”.

According to a recent report, some schools in California are sending letters home with parents, telling them their child is overweight.

The state department of education says the letters are meant to help improve the kids’ health.
