The remains of a Massachusetts soldier killed during the Korean War were finally returned home.

The remains of Private First Class Norman Dufresne arrived home yesterday.

His family says he was 20 years old when he was reported missing in action in Korea more than 60 years ago.

Last year, advances in DNA sciences allowed a positive ID on remains found a year after Private Dufresne went missing.

The family was notified that their loved one had been found.

They say it's been a long wait, but their dream has finally come true.

"After all this time, it's unbelievable. This is the most remarkable event in my life."

The family said they never gave up hope that Private Dufresne would come home.
