(CNN) — Even Barbie has to obey the law! A Barbie Jeep was spotted parked in the wrong place in a Utah neighborhood — and that’s when the police got involved!

“I came out of the garage. I noticed that the Jeep was parked in an unpopular place right behind my vehicle. And so, I got out and noticed that there was an abandoned vehicle tag on it,” a police officer said.

The bright orange tag made it clear — the citation was for a Jeep. The owner, Barbie!

“I thought the vehicle was obviously going to be impounded,” the police officer said.

As it turned out, police have a soft spot for Barbie and her sister.

Seven-year-old Autumn was busy with school and friends.

“I think I left it on the sidewalk,” Autumn said.

So how did it end up on the road after bedtime? One thing that we know for sure…

“It’s running out of batteries,” Autumn said.

“These little girls are very lucky. If it was blocking someone’s driveway, normally we would tow it away,” a police officer said.

This time, dad and his two blonde Barbies are getting off easy.

“Unfortunately I have received my share of tickets. This is definitely my favorite ticket that I have received,” the girls’ father said.

As for police…

“We would hope that people would appreciate the fact that we’re there in their neighborhood and we’re looking out for them and their property,” the police officer said.
