Norfolk, Va. - A suspicious person was detained at Naval Support Activity Hampton Roads on Wednesday on Bland Blvd. The Navy says the person's actions aroused suspicion and a concerned employee called security.

The person is now being questioned by NCIS and Navy security. Officials say the security incident happened at around 3 p.m.

There was no indication of a weapon and officials say the person had a valid ID.

As a precaution, buildings 3 and 4 were evacuated officials tell NewsChannel 3.

All inbound traffic was stopped and Gate C was closed. Gate A off Terminal Blvd. is now open to traffic.

Officials say the installation is now operating under normal conditions.

NewsChannel 3 obtained video of uniformed sailors circling a burgundy SUV parked inside.

A duffel bag and long camel colored coat were taken out, patted down and examined.

After several minutes of this, they closed the doors, got in another car and left.

The Navy has not said if the red SUV was connected to the incident.
