Man shot to death in Portsmouth 7-11 parking lot

Portsmouth, Virginia – Police say a man was shot to death in the parking lot of the 7-11 store in the 3500 block of Deep Creek Boulevard around 2:00am Sunday.

Officers found the man lying in the parking lot with a gunshot wound to his chest. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

He has been identified as 21-year-old Carlos Deundrew Cooper of the 2500 block of Bird Lane in Portsmouth.

While police were on scene on Deep Creek Boulevard, two other people showed up at Maryview Hospital with gunshot injuries. The extent of their injuries is not known at this time.
