Newport News, Va.- A Newport News man has been arrested and charged with sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl.

Newport News Police say Nitori Scheithauer, 19, was visiting the house of a female friend in the South East Community when he sexually assaulted her 13-year-old daughter two times early Tuesday morning.

Court documents filed in Newport News Juvenile & Domestic Relations District Court reveal that the sexual assault happened two times, both while the girl was asleep in her bedroom.

After the second instance, court documents show that the girl went downstairs and told her uncle what had happened. He then chased Scheithauer out of the house.

Police say they then got a 911 call from Scheithauer who claimed he had been assaulted. When officers found him in the area of 20th Street and Jefferson Avenue, police say he was intoxicated.

While officers were on scene with Scheithauer, police say they got another call about Scheithauer being involved with the sexual assault of the 13-year-old girl.

Scheithauer was arrested and charged with two counts of object sexual penetration, two counts of aggravated sexual battery, two counts of sexual assault, drunk in public and underage possession of alcohol according to Newport News Police Spokeswoman Holly McPherson.

Scheithauer remains in the Newport News City Jail without bond.
