Virginia Beach, Va. - On Thursday, parents at Rosemont Forest Elementary School received an alert from the school's principal about a report of a potential abduction and indecent exposure incident.

The message stated that a student was walking home after school and reported being approached by a stranger who was driving a white van on Grey Friars Chase.

They say the driver reportedly asked the student to come close to the SUV and then he exposed himself.

The child was not injured and was able to get home safely. Police were then notified about the incident.

The principal is encouraging parents to call police if they notice any suspicious activity in the area. Parents are also asked to call the school's office number at 757-648-3640.
