The Washington Redskins have released four more players before the 4 p.m. deadline today.

Those cut from the team include offensive linemen Jacolby Ashworth and Jeremy Trueblood.

The burgundy and gold also released Ryan Mouton and Roddrick Muckelroy, both defensive backs.

But the big news from camp today – Head Coach Mike Shanahan has named Pat White the starting quarterback.

This is only for their last preseason game against Tampa Bay – which you can see right here on NewsChannel 3 on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Shanahan says White will play the entire game.

The Redskins will need to trim their roster to 53 by Saturday’s deadline of 4 p.m.

They open the season at home on September 9 against Michael Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles.
