Newport News, Va. – A Newport News man has been arrested for exposing himself to young girls, police tell NewsChannel 3.

On Sunday, August 25, 2013, 43-year-old Edwin Lee McCargo of the 100 block of Henry Clay Road was arrested in the area of the 11700 block of Jefferson Avenue.

The incident happened on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. Two 12-year-old girls and two 11-year-old girls were at the Wilco Hess Gas Station near Forrest Drive and Jefferson Avenue, when McCargo came up behind one of the girls and started to ‘dance in a lewd manner’ behind her.

The suspect waited for the group of girls to come out of the store, and then followed them down Forrest Drive, yelling at them as they walked. McCargo then exposed himself to the group, police say.

McCargo is charged with four counts of indecent liberties with a child, and drunk in public.
