Suffolk, Va. - Two teen sisters were taken to the hospital on Tuesday night after being stabbed in downtown Suffolk on the 300 block of Hill Street.

Calls came in to emergency crews at 8:52 p.m.

Both girls, ages 15 and 17, were taken to Sentara Norfolk General for treatment. The 15-year-old was airlifted.

The 17-year-old was treated and released while the 15-year-old remains in fair condition at Sentara Norfolk General. The victims’ family told NewsChannel 3 the 17-year-old is pregnant.

Police say after the sisters were stabbed, they ran around three blocks to a relative's house for help. Luckily, it looks like both teens will be okay.

Police say another teen girl turned herself in at Police Headquarters at 11:20 p.m. The 14-year-old has been charged with two counts of malicious wounding and is currently being held at the Tidewater Detention Home in Chesapeake.

"Well it is pretty bad, but the way young people are today what do you expect," says Junius Daughtrey , a Suffolk resident. "Yeah, that is a shame. They need to go to church. They need to know God, simple as that."

We spoke to the 15-year-old who was airlifted to the hospital. She says she was feeling a lot better.

The victims' mother says they have had problems with the 14-year-old before and that all three teens went to King`s Fork High School together and they've never gotten along.
