Hampton officer gets into violent cupcake fight with her mother
Hampton, Va. - A Hampton police officer and her mother have two different stories, but court documents show they both agree on one thing: birthday cupcakes were at the center of it all.
It all started at an intersection when Officer Jessica Reynolds and her mother Donna Ramsey were driving and started arguing, according to paperwork.
That’s when both women say the other one reached into the backseat of the car. They also both agreed the weapons of choice in the fight were cupcakes.
After somebody threw the cupcakes, both women claim it went beyond a food fight. Court papers show that Ramsey told police her daughter began kicking and hitting her, giving her injuries to her face, mouth, arm and thumb.
But the police officer says it was her mother who threw the dessert then began choking Reynolds while pushing her head into a window.
Court papers show that the drive ended at the officer’s boyfriend’s home. They say the officer’s boyfriend and his roommate saw Reynold’s mother pull her hair, bringing her to the ground.
It says the police officer was yelling “stop” while her mother slammed her head into the ground.
Ramsey does admit to choking her daughter in defense, according to court papers, but says it was only after her daughter hit her.
The women are both being charged with assault and no word on what exactly the argument was that started cupcake confrontation.
