York County, Va. – A vehicle flipped over onto its roof after hitting a York County Deputy’s marked car during a funeral procession State Police say.

This happened on Wednesday morning at the intersection of Kiln Creek Parkway and eastbound Victory Blvd.

Police say the York County Sheriff’s Department was conducting the funeral procession and a deputy went to clear an intersection. They say the light turned green and that’s when the driver in a 2011 Nissan Rogue went through the intersection and hit the deputy’s car.

Both the deputy and the driver of the Nissan suffered minor injuries.
