Two scooter accidents in Norfolk within two hours

Norfolk, Va – Police were left investigating two separate scooter accidents Saturday.

Police say around 5:40 p.m. an accident involving a scooter and a car happened on Brambleton Avenue.

Police told Newschannel 3 they believe the scooter’s driver is to blame. They say he turned into a car while attempting to turn onto Reservoir Avenue.

The man on the scooter was transported to the hospital. Police said his condition was improving on Sunday.

The second scooter accident happened around 8:00 p.m. on Tenth Bay Street near East Ocean View Avenue.

Police say the driver that hit the scooter took off. Witnesses reported the scooter was hit by a silver car.

The two people riding the scooter were taken to the hospital, but are expected to be okay. Witnesses say the two were brothers.
