James City County, Va. -LeTroy Prince Wallace, 31, was killed when he was thrown from his car and dragged for four miles. He died on May 21st from his injuries.

Now the driver of the second car, 22-year-old Michael Robinson, has been charged with causing injury or death while racing, leaving the scene and failure to render assistance to injured parties at an accident, and failure to report an accident with injuries.

According to police, two cars were speeding on Richmond Road when the driver of one of the cars, a 31-year-old man from Lanexa, lost control near James City Recycling.  His car hydroplaned on the wet road, spun several times and hit a tree, throwing him out of the car.

Police say he was then run over and dragged about four miles by the second car, which was driven by Robinson.  He told police the two cars were racing and he thought he had run over debris after seeing the car crash.

He didn't stop until he was alerted in New Kent County by another motorist that there was a body under his car.

Police say the man trapped under the car was transported to the hospital for serious injuries. There were also two kids in the car who were injured - an 8-year-old boy and an 8-year-old girl.  Their relationship to the driver is not clear.

The crash is still under investigation.
