Norfolk, Va. - The Monarchs hosted George Mason in the first of a three game series on Friday.
ODU got on the board quickly thanks to Freshamn PJ Higgins whose single brought in Ben Verlander to go up one nothing over the Patriots.
The team hosts Mason again Saturday at 3 pm.
