NewsChannel 3 is the home of the Redskins! And what Redskins fan could forget what happened a year ago today? RGIII was the number two overall pick, but he came with a price.

Washington would give up this year’s and next year’s first round picks plus a future second round pick to get Griffin.

This means the Redskins first pick will be late in second round at #51 so look for them to take a defensive back.

We all remember when Griffin tore his ACL in a playoff game against Seattle.

This past Monday, he tweeted he was ahead of schedule and expects to be back under center when the Redskins open the season at home against the Philadelphia Eagles on September 9th.

The first round of the draft is tonight and former Bayside Marlin E.J. Manuel is expected to be drafted.

The Florida State quarterback has been linked to either the New York Jets or Buffalo Bills with the 13th or possible 18th picks.

He is in New York tonight with his family and coach.

Former Ocean Lakes Dolphin Justin Hunter is also in the running.

The junior wide receiver at Tennessee has over a thousand yards receiving and 9 touchdowns.

Hunter has impressed the scouts. Most of the draft experts have Hunter as a late first round pick going to the Vikings.

And it was B.W. Webb who secured William and Mary’s victory over Virginia with his three interceptions.

The Warwick raider has worked out for several teams and is expected to be the seventh tribe player currently in the NFL.

Look for Webb to be drafted in the third or fourth round.
