Hampton, Va. - Police have made an arrest in a weekend homicide, officials tell NewsChannel 3.
Hampton police have arrested Stanley McCoy Whitehead after a man was found shot to death on Victory Boulevard.
It happened on Sunday, April 21, 2013. At 4:56 p.m., emergency crews received a call in reference to a shooting in the 2500 block of Victory Boulevard.

When officers arrived, they found a man who suffered from a gunshot wound to the upper torso. Members of the Hampton Fire and Rescue Division responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
The circumstances and the motive are still under investigation, police say. The victim’s identity is not being released at this time pending notification of next of kin.
