Norfolk, Va. – Today, Michael D. Brown, a retired Norfolk plumbing supervisor, pleaded guilty in federal court to bribery.
He admitted that for several years, he took cash payments from Andrew T. Zoby, a city contractor, in exchange for preferential treatment.
Federal documents show he picked up bribes as often as four times a month.
A current employee is still under investigation.
The city supervisor and Andrew Zoby will appear in federal court again in July. They face up to 10 years in prison.
