Newport News, Va. – A man was shot Sunday afternoon in the East End area of Newport News, according to police.
The man, believed to be in his 30s, was sitting on the front porch of a home in the 600 block of Ivy Ave when he was shot in the torso. Police say it happened around 12:30 p.m.
Neighbors told police they heard shots but did not see anyone.
The man was taken to the hospital. There’s no word yet on his condition.
