JRB to close NB span for maintenance starting Wednesday

Isle of Wight, Va. –The Northbound span at the Route 17 James River Bridge will be closed overnight as crews perform maintenance on Wednesday from 11 p.m. to Thursday at 4 a.m. this week.

It will also close again on Thursday from 11 p.m. to Friday at 4 a.m. if the weather permits.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area while crews are working. The Monitor Merrimac Memorial Bridge Tunnel can be used as an alternate.
