Man accused of stealing golf cart from hospital

A man is accused of stealing a golf cart from a hospital.

The Daily Advance newspaper reports that 47-year-old Thomas Johnson was charged after he rode off with the cart early Tuesday morning.

They say police later found him with that cart at a gas station on North Road Street and Hughes Boulevard.

The cart was being used by security officer for the Albemarle hospital.

Johnson may now face charges of felony larceny and possession of stolen property.
