Newport News officers assist in Norfolk incident
According to Norfolk police, a couple of Newport News police officers were in the Ocean View area in the 600 block of West Ocean View Avenue when they witnessed an assault.
The officers took action to stop it and detained the suspect until Norfolk officers were able to respond.
Norfolk officers arrived and made the arrest.
They say the person accused of the assault had active warrants.
The Newport News officers were not on an active duty call.
