Beach citizens warn about possible Medicare scam
Virginia Beach, Va. –Beach police say they’ve received several calls about a possible scam.
They say senior citizens have called them stating that they’ve been contacted by people with ‘thick foreign accents’ saying that they are sending out new Medicare cards.
Police say the callers are phishing for the people’s banking information.
No one has fallen for the scam, police say.
