Portsmouth, Va. - An 18-year-old Portsmouth man and three juveniles have been arrested on burglary and theft charges after the owner of a stolen SUV spotted them driving it in Suffolk.

On Tuesday the victim reported a burglary at his home in on Forrest Hills Drive after returning home and finding the rear door glass damaged and items missing.

Detectives discovered that sometime between the hours of 12:00 P.M. and 4:30 P.M. someone entered the home in the Merrifield’s neighborhood and stole computer equipment and money before taking the victim's 1998 Toyota 4Runner from the garage.

On Thursday, shortly after 11:00 A.M., the victim was traveling in the area of College Drive and Harbor View Boulevard in Suffolk, when he spotted his stolen 4Runner.

The victim followed the vehicle, while calling police, until the 4Runner stopped at the Navy Federal Credit Union located in the 5600 block of High Street, West.

Responding officers observed two men exit the vehicle and enter the credit union while two additional men remained in the vehicle. Officers approached and arrested all four without incident.

Three of the suspects were identified as juveniles, one 15 and two 17 year-old males.  The 15-year-old was the driver.

The fourth suspect was identified as 18-year-old, Emmanuel Mustin, of the 3900 block of Forrest Hills Drive, Portsmouth.

Mustin was charged with burglary, grand larceny and three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.  He is currently in the custody of the Portsmouth Sheriff’s Office.

The three juveniles face juvenile petitions for burglary and grand larceny and were released to their parents.

Officers found two black pellet pistols inside the vehicle that closely resembled real semi-automatic handguns.
