Norfolk Crime Line goes digital
Norfolk has a new way to take action against crime. Now, Norfolk Police can accept text and web tips into the Crime Line.
Here’s how it works. Just text “Norfolk” and your tip to CRIMES or 274637. Police can reply to your text. But, you can stop the communication anytime by replying STOP to the text.
Or you can submit tips online at www.norfolkcrimeline.com. There, you’ll find a detailed form. You don’t have to fill in the entire thing. Just fill out whatever information you have. You can even include photos and videos.
If your tip leads to an arrest you can get a cash reward up to $1,000. And most importantly — text and web tips are still anonymous.
