The aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt's mid-life overhaul isn't going to be completed if the budget crisis continues according to testimony from Navy leaders.

It's the latest in a long list of delays from deployments to ship work because of an eight billion dollar shortfall.

In his Senate testimony, Vice Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Mark Ferguson said work on the Roosevelt carrier will stop if the Navy has to operate under last year's budget resolution.

For the past three years, the Roosevelt has been in Newport News Shipyard for its mid-life overhaul and is four months from completion according to the Navy.
