A Super Bowl party can get really expensive if you're not careful.

You can cut back the cost without cutting back on the fun.

According to an annual survey by the retail advertising and marketing association, Americans will spend nearly 12.3 billion dollars on the Super Bowl, an average of $68.54 per person.

Three quarters will spend cash on snacks and beverages, and according to an analysis by finance website NerdWallet, one party staple will really take a bite out of your budget.

It looks like the biggest hit to your budget really will be coming from chicken wings. They're going to be up about 15-25% in terms of prices from last year's Super Bowl, from the 2012 Super Bowl. That's mostly because of demand and the drought.

According to Nerd Wallet's analysis, beer prices have ticked up only slightly over the last few years.

More than 7.5 million households are expected to buy a new TV before the big game, compared with 5.1 million last year. Those looking for a deal may be in luck.

You're actually going to find pretty good prices for those big HDTVs, which is a little counterintuitive because demand is up, but there are a couple of other factors driving that as well.

Those factors include a combination of typically lean January sales and stores clearing shelves for new models.
