Hundreds of vehicle crashes over the weekend in Virginia Beach
Virginia Beach, Va. – Police responded to hundreds of vehicle crashes over the weekend due to winter weather – crews responded to a total of 275 accidents.
On Friday, January 25, 2013, police say crews responded to 176 accidents and 9 of them with reported injuries. That’s a total of 185 crashes, from 3 p.m. until midnight.
On Saturday, January 26, 2013, from 12 a.m. until 12 a.m. on Sunday – crews responded to 63 accidents – and 8 accidents with reported injuries. That’s a total of 71.
And on Sunday, January 27, 2013 – police reported a total of 18 accidents, and one accident with reported injuries. That’s a total of 19.
No fatalities were reported in the above accidents, and no reports of serious injuries; only minor injuries, police say.
