UPDATE: Another arson was reported on the Eastern Shore Saturday night in the 25000 block of Parksley Road in Accomack County. The abandoned structure that burned was a three sided storage building with no electricity.

Accomack County, Va. - There have been 36 arsons in Accomack County since early November.

Friday, Virginia State Police gave an update on their investigation into the fires.

At this point they believe that most of the 36 arsons are the work of the same person or group of people.

But they believe some have been the work of copycats.

"Copycat crimes will not be tolerated," said Sgt J.P. Koushel with the Virginia State Police. "They will be investigated and we will separate which ones have been committed by the serial arsonist and which ones have not."

The latest arson came Thursday night in a home in Accomac at the corner of Front and Back streets.

The fire reignited early Friday morning, leaving charred wood and melted debris in its wake.

"It's just disturbing. I just don't know what else to say. I really liked this old house, you can see it would have been quite a beautiful house," said Accomac resident Christopher Newman.

Virginia State Police say there are nearly 800 abandoned structures on the Eastern Shore making it difficult to pinpoint where the arsonist may strike next. They are still offering a $5000 reward for any information leading to an arrest.
