Police seek Elizabeth City woman in stabbing

Elizabeth City, N.C. – Elizabeth City police are searching for a woman wanted for assault, after they say a man was hospitalized after being ‘stabbed multiple times’ on Monday.

On Monday, December 17, 2012 at approximately 9:46 p.m., the Elizabeth City Police Department responded to Albemarle Hospital in reference to a reported assault.

When crews arrived at Albemarle Hospital, Elizabeth City police officers determined that Thomas Shandell Stokley, Jr. had been assaulted at an undetermined location in the City.

Officials say Stokley was later transported from Albemarle Hospital to a hospital in Virginia where he is currently reported to be in stable condition.

Police say Stokley had been involved in a domestic argument and was subsequently stabbed multiple times.

The Elizabeth City Police Department is now searching for 21-year-old Dana Janey Dashiell of the 600 block of Parsonage Street, Elizabeth City, for ‘Assault with a Deadly Weapon with the Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury.’

Police are actively seeking her whereabouts.
