Wallops Island rocket launch delayed

Wallops Island, VA. – The launch of a rocket that was set to take off from Wallops Island Friday night has been postponed.

According to NASA, the Terrier-Lynx suborbital rocket was to launch just after 9 p.m. Friday, but is now scheduled Tuesday evening between 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. 

The launch from NASA’s launch range at the Wallops Flight Facility on the Eastern Shore will not be shown live on the internet, but it may be visible to the eye for some residents in the mid-Atlantic area of the country.
