200 soldiers return home after Sandy relief efforts

Fort Knox, Kentucky - About 200 soldiers stationed at Fort Knox in Kentucky are being hailed as heroes for helping victims of Hurricane Sandy.

Members of the 19th Engineer Battalion returned home Tuesday and were honored during a ceremony for their relief efforts in New York.

The unit removed more than 13 million gallons of water and 1,300 tons of debris from the storm ravaged area. Some members of the unit received commendation medals for their outstanding work.
