It seems impossible to get through the area sometimes. Boush and Olney Streets have been blocked off for a sewer project.

One of the alternate streets is partially shut down, too.

And you shouldn't expect things to get better for several weeks.

It's all part of a special project by the Hampton Roads Sanitation District.

They're working to replace some old sewer lines.

In October not long after they started, they found a cracked concrete channel.

And on top of that, pools of ground water.

That's pushing their completion date back from last month to the middle of December.

And thanks to a big hole on Duke, getting around is going to be worse.

Norfolk crews are working to fix a broken water line.

Duke Street is now shut down to one lane in each direction.

Expect to see this for at least a couple more weeks.
