Four arrested in Virginia Beach prostitution bust

Virginia Beach, Va. – Police tell NewsChannel 3 four people have been arrested in a prostitution bust that was conducted last week.

On Thursday, November 15, 2012, the Virginia Beach Police Department’s Special Investigation Vice Squad conducted what they call a ‘prostitution reversal operation’.

Police were responding to complaints of illegal prostitution in the resort city.

The operation involved undercover female detectives in and around the 900 block of Virginia Beach Boulevard.

The operation resulted in four males being arrested and charged with Solicitation of Prostitution; a Class 2 Misdemeanor.

Each of the suspects was released on a summons.

The suspects have been identified as:

Joshua David James, 30, of the 900 block of B Street, Virginia Beach.

Dexter L. Howard, 44, of the 3200 block of Winterberry Lane, Virginia Beach.

Calvin Alonzo Franklin, 48, of the 2200 block of Venice Court, Virginia Beach.

Jerry Brothers Jackson, 62, of the 300 block of 15th Street, Virginia Beach.

These cases remain under investigation.
