A day after a Chesapeake veterinarian is killed on Shillelagh Road neighbors tell NewsChannel 3 the road is dangerous.

Yesterday's crash was the second fatal crash in just over a month.

A deadly head-on collision killed Dr. Ruth Ann Macqueen Thursday morning and sent two teenagers to the hospital.

Dozens of neighbors told NewsChannel 3 about their near-death experiences on Shillelagh Road.

That's why NewsChannel 3 took action by voicing their fears to the city of Chesapeake.

The police department could not provide us with the number of accidents this year or how many people have been killed on Shillelagh until next week.

The acting deputy city manager only told us that Shillelagh is similar to all the other roads in the southern section of the city.

They say traffic engineers will work with police to address any issues that will prevent future tragedies.

City councilman and former Police Officer Robert Ike is promising to take action for folks living on this road.
