Chesapeake mall employee held at gunpoint during kiosk robbery

Police are looking for a man they say robbed a mall kiosk Wednesday morning in Chesapeake.

It happened at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 14, 2012. According to Officer Kelly O'Sullivan, an employee of the Gold Rush kiosk, located inside of Greenbrier Mall, was held at gunpoint while preparing to open the business. The suspect approached the employee, displayed a handgun, and demanded money. The suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of money and ran away towards the north end of the mall.

There were no injuries.

The suspect is described as a dark skinned black male in his late 20s or early 30s, approximately 5’8” wearing a grey hoodie, jeans, and a black ball cap.

This case is currently under investigation. More information will be released as it becomes available.
