A high school hockey league in Pennsylvania is under fire – because it wants to stop singing the national anthem at hockey games.

The league commissioner says it’s because ice time is so expensive and it will keep the games running on time.

Right now, once the ice time is up – the game has to stop – even if it’s not finished.

Recently, singing of the national anthem has taken away from the playing time.

Some suggest using a pre-recorded standardized minute and a half version for all games.

Do you think lack of funding is a good reason to drop the national anthem from games?
