One dead after shooting in Newport News
According to police, one person is dead after a shooting occurred in Newport News on 1802 Jefferson Avenue Tuesday night.
Police say they found a man on the sidewalk suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body, torso and head.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
There is no information about a suspect at this time.
