Hampton Roads soldier to compete in Best Warrior Competition

A local soldier is fighting to show he’s the best warrior in the Army.

Specialist James Conklin is one of 24 soldiers competing in the Best Warrior Competition in Fort Lee this week.

He’s assigned to the 690th transportation detachment with the 597th transportation brigade.
