Route 58 eastbound reopened after early morning accident

In Suffolk - all lanes are back open on the eastbound side of Route 58 near the landfill.

One lane was blocked after an accident that happened around 3 a.m. Wednesday morning.

That’s when police say a small car crashed into a tractor trailer.

The two people inside the car were sent to the hospital – but should recover. The driver of that car was given a summons for reckless driving.
