Police find body on porch of Virginia Beach home

Virginia Beach, Va. – According to Virginia Beach police spokesman Sgt. Brian Ricardo, units were conducting a traffic stop around 1:20am Saturday near the intersection of Bob Lane and Southern Boulevard when the driver got out and took off running into a nearby field.

At 2:26am, a canine unit found a male lying on the porch of a house in the 1800 block of Ego Drive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say he did not have any obvious signs of trauma. The residents of the home say they did not know the victim.

Police are investigating whether or not these two incidents are related. They are also working to find the owner of the car.
