Roanoke Island man charged with taking indecent liberties with two minors

Dare County, N.C. – A Roanoke Island man has been arrested after being indicted by a grand jury on 12 counts of taking indecent liberties with a minor.

51-year-old Charles Richard Brewer II was arrested September 18.

A release from the Dare County Sheriff’s Office says the office first received a report from the Dare County Department of Social Services regarding reported indecent liberties taken with two juvenile victims on July 10^th.

After investigating the reports, the Sheriff’s Dept. investigator turned her findings over to the Dare County Grand Jury, who indicted Brewer on Sept. 10^th.

Brewer is being held at the Dare County Detention Center in lieu of $90,000 bond.
