YWCA Women of Distinction Awards Ceremony held Wednesday night

A special program was held Wednesday night at Christopher Newport University.

The YWCA Women of Distinction Awards Ceremony recognized 15 women who work or live on the Peninsula in several categories, from the business world to the military to volunteerism.

The honorees included an 11th grade honor roll student who has been playing the violin since she was two years old.
