Woman runs red light, collides head on with Newport News police car
According to Newport News Police, an officer was traveling northbound on Warwick Blvd. and made a left on Beechmont Drive.
They say an older female was driving a white vehicle southbound on Warwick.
She ran a red light and collided with the officer head on.
Both were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
