Is Nicki Minaj a Republican?

According to cbsnews.com, it is not clear exactly where rapper Nicki Minaj stands on the election, but they say a new mixtape may offer some clues.

This week, Lil Wayne’s mixtape “Dedication 4″ was released and in one of the tracks Minaj says, “I’m a Republican voting for Mitt Romney, you lazy b—-es is f—ing up the economy.”

The website states that it is unclear if she was speaking any truth in the lyric because she often blurs the lines of reality in her music.

In a tweet, the rapper Talib Kweli Green says, “I doubt Nicki seriously supports Romney. Her lyrics ain’t political. She just wants y’all to talk about her & she winning cuz it’s working!”
