Pizza delivery driver shot in Portsmouth

According to Portsmouth police, a Chanello’s Pizza delivery driver was making a delivery to the 2000 block of Piedmont Ave. and reported being shot.

Police say he has been unable to make a statement about exactly what happened because of his injuries.

They say after he delivered a pizza to the customer who called and ordered it, he then went to his vehicle that was parked in the area.

At around 1:05, they say the victim called police and reported the shooting.

When officers arrived, he was unconscious.

He was transported to Sentara with gunshot wounds.

There is no word yet on his condition.

There is no suspect information or motive.
