Virginia Beach woman wins $100,000
According to Virginia Lottery officials, a Virginia Beach restaurant manager is now $100,000 richer.
Glenda Boone is the winner of the $100,000 lottery ticket.
The Virginia Beach woman took the top prize in the Jewel 7’s game.
“I started screaming,” she told Lottery officials as she claimed her prize. “I couldn’t believe it.”
She bought the winning ticket at the Food Lion at 1920 Centerville Turnpike in Virginia Beach. When she ran back into the store, some people helped her by confirming the ticket was a winner and advising her to sign the back of it.
Boone, who is a restaurant manager, said she intends to use her winning to pay bills.
